Blue Sky Update!

For those of you who called in as victims of scams, please try to remain calm. We understand why you were shocked, angry, devastated and embarrassed to admit that you were swindled. However we thought that you should know that there has been some progress.

We have learned of a report from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) about a 'consent order' the agency filed in the spring of 1995. As a result, "Mini Snacks, Inc." and its corporate officers have agreed to pay $100,000 in consumer regress to settle misrepresentation charges.

While this consent order is for settlement purposes only, it does not constitute an admission by the defendants of a law violation. The FTC is investigating other other similar situations.

We hope to see more incidents of swift action by our government officials and federal agencies. However this cannot happen without significant input from "blue sky" victims and the credible vending operators, manufacturers and dealers across the country.
